Administration

Administration

The leadership team at Fullington Academy is dedicated to fostering a Christ-centered learning environment where students are challenged academically, supported personally, and prepared for future success. Working alongside faculty, families, and the community, our administrators strive to uphold the mission and values that have guided Fullington Academy since 1970.

Head of School

The Board of Directors of Fullington Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Russell Lawley as the new Head of School, effective December 1, 2025. Originally from Selma, Alabama, Russell Lawley boasts an impressive career in education spanning more than 25 years. His journey includes 17 years in educational leadership, complemented by degrees from Auburn University, Albany State University, and Georgia College. Mr. Lawley is a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran.  Russell is committed to excellence both in and out of the classroom. He has been happily married to Tonya Lawley for over three decades.  Their son, Corey Lawley, shares a beautiful family with his wife Hollie and their four children: Rilynn, Aubrey, Cannon, and Carter. Outside of work, Russell enjoys weight training and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Lawley has expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Fullington family and is eager to work alongside our faculty, staff, students, parents, and community partners to continue building upon the school’s proud tradition of excellence. His leadership philosophy centers on fostering strong relationships, encouraging innovation in the classroom, and ensuring that every student is supported in reaching their full potential.
